Omg; this is one of my favorites...great album!

One of the songs I went to when I needed to fall on my knees and hold my arms open wide and just left go and feel His presence.

Jars of Clay really pulled the wool over the eyes of the conservative Christian community and scored a pretty good dollar doing so. Back in the day, Christian music artist Steve Camp wrote a small thesis of what would become of Christian music and the industry. He was exiled from the Christian music industry because of being a threat to the establishment. The biggest music artists spoke out against him and shamed him. He was 100% correct and it played out exactly as he had warned in his writing and we are seeing it throughout the Contemporary Christian music industry. It’s only gotten worse for the past 20 plus years.

People are equal. Ideas are Not. You used God for what you needed, now you left. You have deceived us. God is never deceived, but he is patient.

No Christians in this band all have rejected jesus and the bible, opened their arms to the world, and embraced PRIDE.

JOC has always been a cut above most bands - just found this used CD at Book Off for a freakin' dollar! What a steal, these songs sound great, as do ALL JOC tunes!

Not just a stellar Christian music band, a superb band in general! Not a bad album in their catalog. Vocals are too shelf, as per usual!

I’ve decided to throw all of my jars of clay CDs away. You have stepped into the secular world and you support PRIDE. And by the way, our actions ARE important to God…we’re not judged on some warm fuzzy feeling. I hope and pray that you guys return to the the truth of scripture rather than trying to blend in with the world.

As many have already said -- this song is timeless. After so many years, this prayer of a song never gets old. It takes on new meaning at every phase of life, a new recognition for the work that only Jesus can do. To just take a moment to recognize the mess that I am and that He meets me where I am, begins the impossible work of healing to experience now as a deposit and promise for an endless future of wholeness and belonging with Him. Thankful for this song.

when i used to play soccer, this album was my pre-game music. who would think music so calming and spiritual would be ideal before the savagery of a soccer match? it relaxed and enlightened me, physically and spiritually. after all these years, i still don’t know how but i always played my best after listening to this acoustical masterpiece.
